Overview:
The NC department’s education and research agenda is to use cognitive experimental and neural recording/imaging approaches to understand the neural substrates of behavior and cognition. The team at the NC department conduct animal and human experiments to deeply study different areas of cognitive neuroscience endeavor, including language, sleep, drug addiction, sensory processing, memory, and learning. The department offers a four-year Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Cognitive Neuroscience that aims to provide an opportunity for enthusiastic students to conduct basic and cross-disciplinary research.
