Missions

The Institute for Cognitive Science Studies (ICSS), founded in 1998, is known as a leading education and research hub in Iran and the region, on topics related to the brain and cognition.

The Institute is an interdisciplinary network, providing the infrastructures, resources, and unique opportunities to explore the mind and brain, and the neural correlates of human cognition and behavior.

Institute members come from different areas of scientific endeavors, such as Neuroscience and Medicine, Psychology, Linguistics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Anthropology, Education, and Philosophy to build bridges across these disciplines and extend the field by discovering how the mind/brain works.

To accomplish these goals the ICSS provides multiple educational and training opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to prepare them for future leadership in basic and applied research, as well as clinical practice and education.
