Overview: The MCS department’s education and research agenda is to use cognitive neuroscience perspectives to understand how cognitive processes affect the users of mass media and social media in different groups. The team at the MCS department integrates findings of cognitive science and communication science to depict a clear picture of the significant role of cognitive functions in mass communication mediums. The department offers a Master of Science (M.S.) program in Media and Cognitive Science that aims to provide an opportunity for enthusiastic students to conduct basic and applied research.
