Revised Selected Papers It gives us immense pleasure to introduce the proceedings of The Second International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Pattern Recognition (ISPR 2022) organized by the Laboratory of Mathematics, Informatics and Systems (LAMIS) at Larbi Tebessi University, Tebessa, Algeria, in collaboration with the Digital Research Center of Sfax, Tunisia, and the Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge Engineering Research Labs at Ain Sham University, Egypt. The event was aimed at providing an interdisciplinary forum of discussion to share the recent advancements in different areas of artificial intelligence and pattern recognition. It was endorsed by the International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR) and took place in Hammamet, Tunisia, during March 24–۲۶, ۲۰۲۲.

This volume of proceedings contains the papers accepted and presented at the conference. A total of 91 papers in different areas of pattern recognition and artificial intelligence ere submitted to ISPR 2022. The submissions were reviewed by renowned researchers in the respective fields from all over the world. After a thorough and competitive paper review and selection process, 36 papers were accepted for presentation at the conference yielding an acceptance rate of 40%. A total of 32 papers were registered and presented at the conference.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the reviewers for their time and efforts in reviewing the papers and providing constructive feedback to the authors. We are also thankful to the keynote speakers, the authors, and the participants of the conference. We would also like to thank the authors whose papers did not meet the selection criteria for the conference and would like to encourage them to consider the next edition of ISPR for potential publication of their research. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all members of the organizing committees for their big efforts in making this event a success. Finally, special thanks go to the International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR) as well as all the sponsors of the event.
